The darker side of Lisa
Maybe i'm morbid, or maybe i'm just a plain sap (morbid sap?) but I find this to be irresistably endearing.
Speaking of morbid, if you ever want to check out the darker stuff I write in the blog I've been sporadically writing in since I was a wee brat, check out Stranger than Fiction. It's twisted and bittersweet but mostly satirical, right down the username I chose (a visible feature in the Livejournal interface), a parody of mindless teenage following.
And speaking of morbid for the third time, and my old journal listed above, I am reminded of an icon I had up for a loooong time ago and was quite fond of- some of you may remember the baby with the fork in the head with the caption 'mmm baby food.' No other words needed. However, I can't recover it anywhere- the computer I had saved it on died long ago and I was recently reminded of this classy relic in a discussion with my bro. (edit- okay I found the picture of the baby, which I originally took from the Ooze site and made into an icon with the capitioning- but here's the rough idea.)
Ah man, how do I get on these tangents?
So yesterday I was sitting in my Cognitive Science class, mindless typing at my laptop when a group of giggling freshman boys pass me this note across the aisle that read "What program do you use?" This is either the worst pick up line in history, a tacky reference to the lecture that I wasn't really paying attention to, or an idiotic inquiry about Microsoft Word (yeah-this is not new technology, folks). Siggggh. Noobs.
